You are encouraged to enter the James Dyson Award!
The James Dyson Award is an international student design competition. It is run by the James Dyson Foundation, a global charity, which exists to inspire the next generation of engineers and designers. This design award challenges students, and recent graduates (within four years of degree completion) of engineering, product design and industrial design related disciplines to design something that solves a problem.
The creator of the best invention internationally is awarded $49,000 in prize money, and an additional $8,000 is awarded to their university department or faculty. Last year, UNSW industrial design graduate Katherine Kawecki was the international runner-up in the competition.
More details about the competition and how to enter can be found at www.jamesdysonaward.org. The competition is open from the 30th March through to the 20th July 2017.
